Granby Street Bridge is under rehabilitation to repair vital structural components and extend the useable life of the Granby Street Bridge over the Lafayette River.
August 2 – 5: Llewellyn Avenue will be closed from Granby Street to Connecticut Avenue.
Off-duty police and flaggers may assist with traffic.
Motorists should expect alternating lane closures and intermittent traffic stoppages.
Motorists should expect delays during peak traffic hours.
Alternating lane closures and traffic shifts will remain in place 24/7.
The bike lane remains closed until end of the project.
Construction completion is anticipated in late 2022.
The City of Norfolk is making improvements to the Northbound Hampton Boulevard Bridge. This rehabilitation project will repair major structural components and protect the bridge from deterioration. Construction is set to begin Monday, July 11. See PDF file for details.

Stop by the Military Circle Mall (MCM) clinic at 880 N. Military Highway. NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED. The walk-in only clinic is open on Tuesdays 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. All vaccinations are FREE.
COVID-19 vaccinations (6 months to 5 years old) are also offered at the Norfolk Health Department on Thursdays and Fridays. Call 757-683-2735 to schedule an appointment.

For our June 20th meeting, we are planning to forgo the actual meeting and invite all of our neighbors in Wards Corner to an informal ice cream social at the North Shore Playground honoring first responders. The event will start at our normal meeting time, 6:30pm. We should have plenty of daylight to work with that evening.
