Multimodal Norfolk Public Meetings

Back in the Spring, city staff asked to tell them where specific improvements for walking, bicycling, riding a scooter, and getting to the bus are needed. They received over 800 comments! Thank you for providing your input!

The city’s team used this input to develop a list of projects that will make it safer to get around without a car in Norfolk.

Please join a final round of public meetings, where city staff will share the outcomes from this process, including some of the projects that have been identified, as well as how they will move forward to seek funding and implement them.

Four meetings will be held – two in-person and two virtually.  The same presentation will be given at all four meetings.  Attend the one that is most convenient for you!

The public meetings will be held:

Proposed Redistricting Maps

The Virginia Redistricting Commission has started the map drawing process! As they release draft maps, the OneVirginia2021 foundation will post them at https://www.onevirginia2021foundation.org/maps. You can view and comment on all proposed maps on the Commission’s website. (Most recent drafts for House of Delegates maps are A7 and B6; for Senate are A5 and B4.) Now is the time to make your voice heard.

These maps are discussed by the full Commission at their meetings – click here for a full schedule.

You can find district report, data report, and GIS data for each proposed map on the Commission website.

The Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP) has also done some great analysis on the maps so far – check out their work here.
