The FEMA-supported COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Military Circle Mall is supporting walk-ups. NO APPOINTMENT REQUIRED. The clinic is open seven days a week from 9AM to 7PM.
Also, Hampton Roads Transit is now providing FREE paratransit to and from vaccine appointments! Call Paratransit reservations at 757-455-8010 and tell the reservationist you are requesting a trip for your COVID-19 vaccination. When you call, be sure to provide:
Name and address of your vaccination location
Vaccine appointment time

The askHRgreen.org Stormwater Education Committee will be holding a free webinar on Monday, April 12th from 12-1 pm on residential Best Management Practices (things residents can do at home to mitigate flooding in their yards.)

Schedule your appointment today to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine! Click an appointment date to schedule your vaccine appointment at the Military Circle Mall Community Vaccination Center. All Norfolk residents ages 16+ are eligible to receive the vaccine.
Beginning Monday, March 22 through the end of the week, Norfolk Southern will replace 3 railroad crossings along several streets in the Wards Corner area from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. The crossings were last replaced in 2011. The work requires full and directional closures with traffic detoured to signalized streets. Off-duty Norfolk Police hired by Norfolk Southern will assist with traffic control. The schedule, maps, and detour information are below. The city has established a 24-hour hotline to address construction concerns at 757-664-7220.

A number of local pharmacies are providing COVID-19 vaccinations in addition to the health department. To find one near you, visit vaccinefinder.org/search and type in your zip code. The site does not include Norfolk Department of Public Health vaccine clinics.
You can still preregister with the Virginia Department of Health by visiting Vaccinate.Virginia.gov. Appointment notifications can take up to eight weeks. Do not forward your email appointment confirmation. If you attempt to schedule an appointment with a link that does not belong to you, the appointment will be cancelled by the health department.
There are currently three FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson. All three went through extensive clinical trials and are effective in reducing your chance of illness, hospitalization and death.
If you receive the vaccine in Virginia, you will automatically be removed from the state preregistration list. If you receive the vaccine outside of Virginia or want to be removed from the preregistration list for any other reason, call 1-877-VAX-IN-VA (1-877-829-4682).

Norfolk residents can drive through and drop-off household hazardous waste and plastic bags for proper disposal. Iron Mountain will also be on-site for secure document shredding. The event is 9:00 AM to Noon at Huntersville Community Center.
