Voters in parts of Hampton Roads and the Eastern Shore will go to the polls Tuesday, June 11, to select Democratic and Republican candidates for November’s General Assembly elections. Lynwood Lewis and Willie Randall are candidates for the Democratic nomination in Virginia’s 6th Senate District. There is no Republican nominee running for this seat.
Since Virginia doesn’t register voters by party, anyone can vote in any primary. But you’ll have to choose the Democratic or Republican ballot — you can’t vote in both. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Most Wards Corner Civic League residents vote at Granby Elementary. Residents on the west & north side of Nesbitt Drive vote at Titustown Recreation Center.
