Speed limit reduced to 30 mph
New pedestrian safety beacons at key crossings
Phase 1 starts with sidewalk work in front of Church of Christ, Temple Israel and Harris Teeter with bike lane striping to follow later this year. Residents along this corridor may continue to place trash as normally during construction.
This project was shaped by years of planning and community input and is part of Norfolk’s Vision Zero commitment to support safer, more accessible streets for all.
